Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team at the Head Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement strategies, building strong supplier partnerships, and ensuring cost-effective sourcing.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees a company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain, responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality with high service levels.
· Keep an eye on the market trends and accordingly decide purchasing plans.
· Drive procurement through category approach for effective procurement and develop experts within team to lead categories effectively.
· Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
· Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
· Delegating tasks and supervising the work of team across all departments.
· Monitor performance and delivery on time to have better deals.
· Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
· Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
· Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
· Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
· Ensure proper controls in place to avoid conflict of interest and other possible fraudulent activities.
· Make sure proper vendor management system is in place to ensure business continuity.
· Formulate and drive strategic sourcing plans.
Skills:
· Strategic thinking, ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
· Strong relationship management to build and maintain partnerships with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Also have the ability to resolve the conflicts
· Financial acumen and budget management skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to adapt to market changes, evolving industry standards, and shifting organizational needs.
